The destruction of the Dumbledore Obliviation Attack was chilling. I did not have a clue how you could fix that.

It was so rattling that I couldn't be any gladder that it was a dream.

Well done!

You handled the extended questioning very well - giving Ginny and Hermione a long time of questions but logically letting the other three do little.

The conflict with the Slytherin dealt with one item I find particularly vexing in canon - how Dumbledore could let the Slytherins and Snape do what they did for the first few years. Dealing with issues of right and wrong are the particular domain of an educator in the student's formative years. I've spent a lot of time having Harry and Dumbledore thrash that out in my sixth year tale. (Dumbledore is not limited by political correctness)

Great tournament!

Brilliant, brilliant, BRILLIANT!

Dealing with Lucius, getting rid of Draco and Snape, freeing Dobby, telling his friends, getting their absolution, and letting Ginny ask the question so simply and answering his unasked question with equal ease - - -THIS WAS A FABULOUS CHAPTER!

Major kudos to you.

Viridian replied:

Thanks!

Glad you liked it... though I think I'm going to have trouble topping this one...

Molly and Arthur's feelings about their children and Harry (as seen through Arthur's eyes) are so perfectly within canon. Very well done.

Terrible cliffie at the end. Glad the next chapter is written.

Cheers!

Harry's dealings with Percy were very well done.

I hope you have a great deal of nastinesses in store for Lockhart.

Excellent Christmas.

Wonderful find-and-rescue Sirius.

You just have to love Arthur to pieces.

You just can't do enough bad stuff to Lucius, but having Arthur do it makes it a bit sweeter.

Gobsmacking a dog - brilliant!

The whole Dueling Club episode was brilliant.

Dumbledore telling Harry and his friends the prophecy at this point is really appropriate.

Telling that Snape did nothing to Draco but wanted Harry censured after the duel was a very good point.

I'm going through writing Harry discussing with Dumbledore the moral questions of right and wrong as they apply to Draco and Snape. This chapter did a very good job of making the point from a second-year's perspective.

Cheers!

I loved Harry telling off Percy.

The discussion of 'disappearing' Sirius was chilling.

Fine work.

Wonderful Neville-to-the-rescue scene.

I love a strong and capable Nev.

Excellent self-talk for Dumbledore. I can't really blame him for being hesitant about Harry, but doubting Arthur is low.

Great tale!

This whole story to datr retold from Ginny's view was very well done.

I would have only been redundant.

Just choice.

That... Was absolutely the best version of "Harry tells everyone what's really up in the ministry and the wizarding world" that I've ever seen. Which is quite an accomplishment, considering how many people noticed that glaring omission in Rowling's version of events. It's also probably the best version of "Rita Skeeter interviews Harry Potter," although a couple others might be so sensational as to merit a co-first place...

The interview with Sirius was heartwarming and gut wrenching.

Just great stuff!

The family interactions and how Harry is learning to fit in are very well written.

When Harry said, "I could just AK them and ask for her next choice,' I snorted - that's hysterical.

Great confrontation with Dumbledore.

Your flashbacks to the future/past deaths of people are heartbreaking.

Fabulous tale.

This is a tough but marvelous chapter.

Finally, Harry gets some family time.
