Thank you for the story.

About here in the progression, I want more than anything to see Hinata's father beaten, abused, charged with a crime or something, so you, kind writer, are successful. :)

A great chapter.

I was reading this story for the fourth or fifth time, and I couldn't help but notice Naruto using the word 'ohayo' in a terribly inappropriate place. I hate to sound like a nitpicker or something, but I was admiring how spot on and awesome your injection of Japanese into the story was that this completely wrong one really through me. 'Ohayo' means good morning. Literally, though, it's really politely noting that it's early. It wouldn't even be used late in the morning, so it being said at dinnertime is just bizarre.

Nice job on this latest chapter, read thru it partially a few times but kept getting interrupted! Grrr! Excellent work anyway on the results of the training and how Hinata reacted, I hope this mission does a lot to help boost her own confidence in facing her family. But family is almost always the worst. Excellent job with Naruto and Kurenai's adventure and her talk with the nindude. And the bit with Lee and Gai rocked, and wow, the end was awesome, great job with how you had Naruto improve his handling of Hinata, and such, but his still somewhat mistakes. Cheers!

I wonder what would happen to Team 7 with their "C-Rank" mission to Wave Country. AFAIK from reading fanfiction Naruto had a big input in this mission, both continuing it and in actual fights/battles.

I wonder about changes to Sasuke, Sakura and Kiba now that they are in A.U. Team 7.

Keep up good work. I hope for next chapter soon.

An excellent chapter. It seems that there is more going on in Council than Kurenai suspected. I'm looking forward to seeing what happens on the mission and what, if anything, Iruka discovers. I'm also hoping Hinata comes to realize what a bastard she has for a Father. The foundation you're laying down seems to be making this a good mix of intrigue and action, instead of the heavy action/little intrigue of the original series.

Eagerly awaiting the next chapter!

Loved every bit of it. I love how the characters seem to be devloping, especially Shino's interaction with his family. Not sure if you did it on purpose, but it almost seemed like you were foreshadowing that Shino would possible learn about Kyuubi before Hinata. I've always felt that Shino and his clan would understand Naruto's burden better than any other in Konoha. Perhaps this is why it seems that his family isn't as prejudiced against him as the rest of the city is. I'd love to see more of Shino's family and his home life in the future.

Great job. Keep it up! Can't wait to see the next chapter!

Continues to be well written and interesting divergent. I'm actually noticing a few broad similarities between this and Nightmares - in both stories the faster development of the main characters is accelerating the moral descent of their enemies, so to speak. I'm already looking forward to how you're going to handle certain pivotal moments in Hinata's development (i.e: the fight with Neji), even though they're a long way off. And I don't have any cimplaints about your writing speed - for someone holding down a full time job you're turning out large chapters with commendable speed.

One more thing; I would like to see even a little bit of how Sakura, Sasuke (and Kiba) are developing. I can't help but think that without Naruto to act as a spur neither of them would make quite the same progress they did in canon.

You don`t have to cut down the chapters into smaler parts.I don`t mind gig chapters.
Will there be some action in the next chapter or is it only the mission only a gab filler to the chunin exam?

Oh, also, is Quizer your editor or something? If he is, then I understand that long and "informative" review, but if not, just keep doing what you are doing and don't allow people to think that your story only progresses because of them. This is all you and I'm the one who needs you like a heroine addict! ^_^ Keep it up. You are my favorite fan fic author!

Hell, if you keep writing like this, I don't care how long you take! Just don't post that outline! I love your work and it would be a shame to spoil it ^_^

Great work on the chapter.

Loving the story as usual, I can't wait for more. It's good to know that you'll put something up if it's discontinued, although I do hope it won't be. Hopefully people will cut back on bugging you about it, but I'd be surprised if it cut off entirely.

Sorry if it's a bit terse, I'm just not in the mood to be more verbose.

I usually follow stories at FF.net, but they've been having so many problems lately with new uploaded chapters (even some not-so-new - one in particular comes to mind, posted nearly two weeks ago and I still was getting that dumb "new chapters may take a few minutes to update" crap) so I'm gonna move my reviews of your work to this site instead.

That said, I'm really liking this story - yeah, your characters are getting farther from the original canon, but you're showing a very believable and rational (and irrational, as humans so often are) change in them.

Very much looking forward to your next update. And please, don't stop writing this story, even if it takes months to crank out a few pages. If people are being idiots about it, just tell them to shove it somewhere, since Real Life comes before such enjoyable activites as writing fanfic.

Great story so far. And I really hope that Kurenai finds out what Hinata's father is doing. Open a can of whoopass on that SOB!

Like I said, great story.

Very entertaining, even if it was a bit scary here and there, what happened to hinata, and the council taking an active interest in tripping naruto. Enjoyed that a whole lot, though. Now if only they hada few years to grow up... Oh, and it's kinda difficult to read this when one of my favorite characters is sakura, but i think yo don't do real bashing, so that's alright- she was kind of a bitch at the beginning, after all.

great chapter... nice to see some more intrigue being brought into the story in the form of the Village Council and a little fluff at the end..please keep up the good work...=)

Great story.
I really like Kurenai's character.
I don't know if it is believable that Naruto has changed so much from canon in so short time. On the other hand, Kurenai is definately treating him a lot different than Kakashi, and he is not distracted by Sakura or busy challenging Sasuke. All things considered I think Naruto's "new" character is within reason, concidering his past. I really like this Naruto.
Yes, I know I just contradicted my self. My point is that Naruto's "new" character might be persieved by some as OOC, but when his background is taken into consideration, and the treatment he gets from Kurenai, it is within the limits of reason.

I hope you can make sense of this. ;-)

Thanks for writing and sharing this story.

Great chapter. I'm happy to see you've updated!

Poor Hinata. I first thought that the training session might be beneficial, even if her family hates her guts...
Despite the fact that I'm really not fond of angst, I like and approve of how you're handling this. Her development is slow by necessity, but the progress is noticeable. Maybe, soon, she will have that epiphany and realize it is not everyone else's behavior that's abnormal, but her father's. In a way, it is inverse to Naruto's problem: he has to realize it's not the opinions of the general public that counts, but those of the people who know him.
I'm also glad that Hinata's apparent lack of skill stems almost entirely from her inhibitions. It means she's not really that weak and when she overcomes them, old bastard Hiashi is in for an ugly surprise.
A lot of her problems come from the fact that she is unable to put her thoughts into words. Will that change? Will she possibly receive help in this?

I also like how you slowly build up Naruto's social skills. He doesn't really know what he's doing yet, but he's getting there and his instincts steer him right so far. Maybe he should try to be a little more blunt with his compliments, so they get through that barrier of misinterpretation... :)

Liked the scene with Shino and his parents. Logic is one of Shino's strengths and it will go a long way in helping him accept Naruto once he finds out about his tenant. After all, the villagers' fear and loathing are extremely irrational.
I wonder, now that Shino knows for sure that there's something wrong with Naruto, something that is so severe that people are forbidden to speak of it under pain of death, will he be able to find out more? Do you think someone of Shino's capabilities could find out by researching?

I especially liked the scenes with Kurenai. She's worrying a bit much about her genin, though. I think hearing Naruto had contingencies like the Kawarimi no jutsu with his Bunshin would go a long way in easing her fears a bit.
I'm wondering about that conspiracy against Naruto. The thing with the banks is probably only one facets of a huge sinister construct that covers all of Konoha. Why wouldn't I be surprised if it turns out Hiashi orchestrated this? Either that, or someone who is unknows as of yet.

I'm looking forward to see what kind of mission this is going to me. You mentioned a Big Fight Scene(TM)? :D
