Great job, I've been searching for a good Naruto story and it seems I've found it.

Mmm the story is a bit bland, it lacks, ah whats the word, excitement? I don't know why, but it's just not giving me that spark >.>

Plots good overall, but you tend to repeat yourself, try using a thesaurus to mix up your words.

Oh damn...I'm starting to think I should get off this whole website. Every other story from author to author has brought me to tears at least once. However, you at least got me to sniffle quite a bit. Trust me, getting me that far is quite a compliment. So...I praise you and your awesomeness.

I note two major changes to Naruto's character: first, his fixation on Sakura, so much more than canon that he forgoes his attention-seeking ways (smiling, laughing, being boisterous). A more canon Naruto would act saddened one moment and the next greet his new team enthusiastically.

Second, Naruto's original reason for wanting to be Hokage was to be recognized as the strongest ninja in the village. Attention-seeking. Also, Hokage is not part of the ranking system, and being a jounin is not a requirement to be a Hokage. If Hokage is defined as "the strongest person in the village," then a genin who has never had the opportunity to be promoted but is still recognized as stronger than even the elite jounin could be a good candidate for Hokage.

Maa, just my observations of your divergence from canon. Decent story so far, I look towards reading on.

I have just recently started reading Naruto manga. And I've progressed far enough into the series to start looking for fanfiction. I'm quite happy to have found this story. Most of the Naruto fanfiction written today just isn't in my taste so I'm happy to have found one that seems to be quite well written.

I like the way you have given Yuuhi Kurenai a brain. I can't wait to see how Naruto grows under her teaching.

I am eager to see how Hinta and Shino will also grow under her teaching. As well as what kind of affect Naruto will have on them?

Hi there! I've been reading HP&NFP, and I decided to see what this 'Team 8' story was about. To my surprise, it was a Naruto fic! I've only been a fan since December, lol, but I really like this! I've not read any good Naruto fics, so I look forward to reading this. I'm short only 5 chapters from being up to date with Naruto, so it's nice to have something to keep me busy. Thanks for writing!!!!

Is there any particular reason why here, Kurenai's old teammates are Yuki, Mattai, and Kobaru-sensei, but elsewhere in this story they're Kobaru-sensei, Mattai, and Nomaru?

This is a very interesting story. I've never seen a single episode of Naruto, but this fascinates me nonetheless. Apparently you've already changed several things profoundly, since in canon, Naruto's partners appear to be those two who shunned him (I read up a tiny bit after it became clear I really know absolutely nothing). It would help if your story explained the terminology better, by including short side-sentences, or alternatively by adding a glossar at the end of chapters. The first would make the story flow much smoother, though, and I don't think it would really be annonying to readers who know what all that is. ;)

I have wondered myself how Naruto's upbringing affected him - he does seem to be the typical incredibly intelligent unchallenged and unfocused type. You're doing an excellent job of developing the teacher that could actually make him into the fighter who could become Hokage.

I like it. It is nice to see a Naruto fic where he isn't placed in Team 7.
